Specific Copy Wins

Simplicity in copywriting is important to captivate and keep attention. However, it isn't the same as always being short.

For example:

"Planning a vacation can be stressful for many people."

VS

"Whether it's organizing a relaxing beach getaway to the Mediterranean with your best friends from high school or arranging a culturally immersive tour with your preteen children through the historic cities of Eastern Europe, many travelers find the planning process—booking flights, finding hotels or Airbnb, and creating itineraries—overwhelming."

1.  Specific details make your copy more relatable. When people see themselves in your examples, they are more likely to trust and engage.

2.  Relatability evokes emotions. It actually triggers the release of oxytocin in human brains, a neurochemical associated with feeling safe and trusting.

3.  Being specific helps you narrow down your target audience. It speaks more directly to the needs and interests of a particular group. When you're selling to everyone, you're selling to no one.

In a nutshell, specificity builds connection, effectiveness, and trust in your copywriting.
